Two years ago, SGIA President and CEO Ford Bowers asked if I was willing to travel to Australia. “Sure, why not?” I replied, having no idea of the adventure that awaited me.

All levels of the organization — from operators to senior managers — must be aware of the fundamentals of lean and make their best efforts to practice and improve them daily.
